Using the Lab

Services

Making an Appointment

If you’re working on a project, at any stage—from nascent idea to nearly final draft—we would be happy to consult and give you advice. Experts who work in the space are available to consult on any of the following:

  • Project Management
  • Metadata
  • GIS
  • Digital Preservation
  • Research Data Management
  • Programming (especially in Python)
  • Web Development
  • Data Visualization
  • And more!

Email us at DSLab@msu.edu or fill out a consultation request to make an appointment with an expert.

We’ll get back to you within 48 business hours and match you up with someone who’s best equipped to consult on your project. If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s okay too—just tell us what you know and we can help get you started.

Bringing in a Class

Talk to us about bringing your class to the Digital Scholarship Lab! A field trip to the lab makes sense if your class:

  • Is doing a digital project
  • Is using digital scholarship software
  • Would benefit from talking with a digital scholarship expert
  • Is working with VR, AR, or immersive visualization

If you’d like to bring your class to the lab, fill out our consultation form and we can get you on the schedule.

Accessibility Statement

Accessibility is important to the Digital Scholarship Lab. Unfortunately, some of the technology in the lab may present some accessibility challenges. We are committed to providing accessibility accommodations and improving the accessibility of the DSL. If you need accommodations or have suggestions on how we can make our technology and services more accessible, please contact our MSU Library accessibility team.
